Meat Trader

Are you an experienced Meat Trader with a background trading in meat, seafood, frozen, ingredients or proteins? If so, we would like to talk to you. 

The Butchers Recruiter are delighted to be working with some well-established businesses ranging from traditional butchers to large scale wholesalers with ongoing requirements for experienced Meat Traders to join their expanding teams. 

Whether you are looking for a remote opportunity with autonomy over your working environment, hours/days of work and the freedom to trade the commodities of your choice or are looking for a structured, on-site role with a focus on Wagyu Beef, Pork, Lamb and Poultry we have the perfect role for you.

What we’re looking for in a Meat Trader

• Previous experience in meat trading, commodity trading, or meat sales
• Strong negotiation skills with proven margin management capability
• Knowledge of international sourcing, logistics and import/export processes
• Experience managing supplier relationships and commercial contracts
• Familiarity with food safety standards, traceability and regulatory compliance
