KS1 Teaching Assistant

Now Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wavertree (L15) who are looking to appoint a dedicated Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a meaningful impact supporting pupils at a key stage in their development.

The Role:

  • Provide classroom support within a KS1 setting
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group SEN support, including pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD and speech & language
  • Assist with phonics, early reading, and numeracy interventions
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies
  • Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working within a UK primary school
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils is highly desirable
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners
